You stay in control
The assistant does not act in Attornaid on your behalf. It reads, summarizes and drafts; saving is your decision.
Everyone signs in with their own Attornaid account on Attornaid's own sign-in page. Your password never reaches the assistant, and there is no shared password or key.
The assistant reads data with your Attornaid permissions, so it only sees the matters and records you can access.
The connection is read-only. The assistant never creates, changes or deletes a record on its own.
You check time entry and task drafts in Attornaid and save them only if you agree.
You can remove the connection at any time from the assistant's connector settings.
Connect in three steps
Setup starts in Attornaid settings, and every user connects with their own account.
Open settings
In Attornaid, go to Settings > Integrations > AI assistants (MCP). The server address and setup steps are there.
Choose your assistant
Pick the Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT or Codex tab and follow the steps. For Claude, the Add to Claude button opens the connector with the name and server address filled in.
Sign in with Attornaid
Select Connect and sign in with your Attornaid account. You can now ask your assistant about your Attornaid data.
On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, only organization owners can add the connector for everyone. Members then connect with their Attornaid account from their own connector settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Supported assistants, data access and setup.
What is Attornaid MCP?
It is the connector that links Attornaid to AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. Once connected, you can ask your assistant about your matters, clients, tasks and hours, and the answers come from your Attornaid data. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to other applications.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
Attornaid settings include setup steps for Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT and Codex.
Can the assistant change my records in Attornaid?
No. The connection is read-only and the assistant never changes a record on its own. It can draft a time entry or a task; you check the draft in Attornaid and save it yourself.
What data can the assistant see?
Only the data you have access to. Everyone signs in with their own Attornaid account, and the assistant reads data with that person's Attornaid permissions.
How do I connect Attornaid to my assistant?
In Attornaid, open Settings > Integrations > AI assistants (MCP), choose your assistant's tab, follow the steps and sign in with your Attornaid account. On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, only organization owners can add the connector for everyone; members then connect from their own connector settings.
How do I remove the connection?
You can remove it at any time from the connector settings of the assistant you use.
